Upcoming Events
The Golden Isles Fiberarts Guild will meet February 3, 2025 at 3:00pm. The meeting will be at The Church of the Nativity, 615 Mallery St., St. Simons Island. The program will feature Kathy Brooks, founder of 2nd Story Goods, and the owner of “Makers”, a downtown Brunswick shop showcasing hand made goods. Visitors are always welcome.
We will again volunteer to provide a program at Oglethorpe Point Elementary School on Georgia History Day on February 7. We will teach the third grade students how to weave, sew on a button, make a corncob doll and other creative activities related to this event and timeframe in our history. If you wish to volunteer or want more information please contact: [email protected]
Lil’Rev will perform “Scraps of Quilting Music: How Quilters Save the World”. An ode to the millions of quilters worldwide whose gifts of patience have kept us warm in the thick of winter, a piece of home in the thick of war, and showered our daily lives with a love that is unique to all the men and women who strive to let their stitches tell their story.
Sunday, February 2, 2:00-4:00pm
Emcee: Sam Cobean
