INTEREST GROUP CALENDAR

About

The goal of the Golden Isles Fiberarts Guild is to promote fiber arts and provide resources and educational opportunities to members and the community.

The Guild began in 1989 when a few people interested in weaving came together to share a love of working with fiber. Through the years the Guild has grown and we currently have 88 members.

We all love to share our knowledge and we welcome beginners to our group. We currently have nine interest groups which all meet monthly:  Beading, Embroidery, Felting, Garment Construction, Knitting/Crocheting, Quilting, Rug Hooking, Surface Design and Weaving. Members are welcome to join all groups.

The Guild meets on the first Monday of the month (October through May) at 3:00 p.m. There is a short business meeting followed by a program presented by one of the interest groups.

We hold workshops throughout the year.

Members are encouraged to participate in the guild show which is held at a local gallery every other year.
